Gilabbey Veterinary Hospital has a in-house, state-of-the-art CT Scanner. CT (Computed Tomography) also know as a CAT Scan, generates high-speed, 3D images of body regions in only a few seconds, providing much more detail than a traditional X-ray.
This detail allows for a better diagnosis and treatment planning by our Vets. Common conditions the CT Scanner is used for include:
- Elbow and joint assessments
- Ear disease
- Complex fracture assessments
- Nasal problems
- Ocular disease
- Oncological (Cancer)
- Metatastic disease diagnosis
- Spinal problems
Images are interepted by 2 European Diplomats/Specialist Radiologists and returned direct to us within 1 – 3 days. For urgent cases, immediate intrpretations are available.
