Pet passports & Microchipping
Want to take your furry friend on holiday with you?
We can provide you with a passport so that your pet can travel with you on your holidays.
Before the passport is issued the pet needs to be microchipped.
A microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and is inserted by an injection under the skin at the back of the neck. A microchip must be inserted by a veterinary surgeon? This is must be done for puppies before they leave the breeder. All dogs in Ireland must have a microchip.
Your pet must have a rabies vaccine before they can get a passport. Our vets can give your pet their rabies vaccine and issue a passport.
You can travel 21 days after the date of the rabies vaccine.
Please see the Government website for latest travel information.
