Our Reception and Office Staff
Our reception and office staff is made up of both full and part time staff who have vast experience in customer service. At reception they deal with many of your enquiries both face to face and over the phone. They are responsible for co-ordinating the appointments, surgery bookings and patient admissions and making sure that your visit is smooth and trouble free. They are also delighted to deal with any enquiries you may have regarding the best care of your pet. They also, together with our nursing team, deal with admissions to and management of our cattery.
Our team will also advise you in regard to pet insurance choices and in processing any claims you may have for your pet.
Tara joined the Reception Team early in 2018. She has been a volunteer puppy raiser with the Irish Guide Dogs for many years. She has a chocolate lab & a rescue cat at home.
Val has been part of the Gilabbey team since 2007 starting at reception & recently has assumed responsibility for our Accounts department.
Kathleen has been with Gilabbey since 2014 and looks after all things related to pet insurance.
Claire joined our Reception Team in December 2015. Claire works part-time and usually works the evening shift from 3.30pm to 7.30pm. Claire’s family pet is a border collie called Bobby who is loved and spoiled rotten! In her spare time, Claire loves to bake and participate in her favourite sport of Kettlebells.
Niamh McCarthy is our fulltime Referral Coordinator. Niamh organizes all Referral appointments for the Hospital. Niamh joined us in 2017. She has 3 rescue dogs and 6 rescue cats at home.
Vicky & her family recently moved to Ireland in Feb 2019 from South Africa. She has had a career in the veterinary industry for over 13 years and has a passion for dog training, as well as building strong healthy bonds between owners and their beloved pets.
